Dr Patel has over 20 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry and has worked as a

Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in the NHS for over 15 years and is currently a

Lead Consultant in the NHS CAMHS Service in Enfield. Dr Patel qualified in Medicine from

Guys Hospital and took her Specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the

St Mary’s Higher training. She is registered on the Specialist Register for Child & Adolescent

Psychiatry with the General Medical Council.

Dr Patel has a wealth of experience in the assessment and treatment of a range of mental health

conditions in childhood and has a specialist interest in the assessment and treatment of

Neurodevelopmental Disorders. She has spent many years training clinicians and junior doctors

in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. She supports the children and adolescents under

her care with knowledge and skills for psychological therapies for a range of

conditions- CBT, EMDR, parenting approaches as a well having years of experience with

pharmacological treatments. She has a flexible approach and adapts her work to the needs

of neurodiverse populations. She has trained in 3DI and ADOS assessments for Autism and

PEERS for social skills training. She is highly trained in supporting children and adolescents

with a range of neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD , ADHD, Tics and Tourettes.
